Cypriot Jazz Singer

Nihan Görgü was born in Nicosia in 1984. She started taking  private piano lessons from the age of 10. Görgü has a bachelor degree in classical piano performance from the Eastern Mediterranean University. She participated as a jazz singer  in bicommunaI jazz workshops between the years 2008 - 2013. Görgü took vocal lessons from Yaala Ballin and Marion Cowings. Since then she has performed as a jazz singer at various concerts all over Cyprus . Görgü took vocal coaching lessons from Sarah Fenwick as well.  She worked as a beginner piano teacher at Ledra Art Music and Fine Arts Studio between 2010 2020. She performed at music festivals such as Gazimağusa Culture and Art Festival. The singer made up of Turkish Cypriot, Greek Cypriot musicians have also played in events at the Home For Cooperation in the buffer zone
